Strong Style Rules!

Crowds line up for show. If there were any questions concerning the drawing power and popularity of the newest fighting promotion in Japan, Super Hyper Visual Fighting, they were answered December 28th in the Tokyo Dome.  A capacity crowd of 58,000 watched as SHVF presented arguably the greatest card this year.  TV-Tokyo's live broadcast of the event drew a monster 24.7 rating with the total number of viewers steadily climbing throughout the 2 and a half hour broadcast, climaxing in the final quarter hour with a 27.9 rating for the tournament final between Fukada and Asamiya.

In addition to the tremendous gate and record setting ratings, the event also provided some of the best in-ring action presented by any wrestling or fighting promotion this year.  Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer newsletter has already labeled the Junji Shirow/Shiro Mayashi fight a match of the year candidate, as have several other media outlets around Japan and the World.

The wildest fight on the card, Ed Dean/Eiji Miyazaki, was definitely not a technical master piece, but it was viewed by many fans in attendance as the most exciting bout on the card.

The Fukada/Asamiya tournament final wasn't the best fight on the card in terms of quality, but was the most interesting due to the past history between the two in addition to the SHVF World title being on the line.

All the fights on the card were definitely quality, entertaining fights that left the fans clamoring for more.  And there thirst for more strong style fighting will be filled when there first SHVF tour kicks off December 13 in Hiroshima, headlined by a re-match from SSE pitting heated rivals Miyazaki and Dean.

SHVF made its first official shirt available during the Tokyo Dome show.  It features the SHVF logo on the front and the slogan "Strong Style Rules!" on the back.  You'd better consider buying that shirt, because it looks like the SHVF strong style will rule the puroresuringu world in the months to come.

[EDITOR'S NOTE:  SHVF is currently accepting applications for both Heavyweight  and Middleweight fighters.  Email Hadi Moditian for more information.]
