A Tale of Two Tenru's
by Devil Tetsuo, December 13th, 1998

Two Tenrus My sources in Super Japan Pro Wrestling tell me that the rivalry between Jensei Tenru and "Japanese Superstar" Jinsei Tenru is growing by the minute.  These two have been going at each other tooth and nail in the past few weeks.  It seems as if a match between these two men is almost certain.

I talked to Jensei Tenru and his father Hakiro Matsuoko this past week at the Matsuoko Dojo International.  They have both expressed a willingness and desire to enter into a match with the "Tokyo Titan".  The real question, as expressed to me by Hakiro Matsuoko, is the status of the MLWO Japan title that Jinsei Tenru holds.  Super Japan officials have told me that plans to make the MLWO Japan title a SJPW title are still being worked out.  But, Jensei Tenru was extremely confident that he will defeat "the other Tenru" and take his belt.

As we come to press, another X-factor has entered into this situation.  That is the return of "Iron Man" Tetsuuo Matsumoto (a.k.a. Super Tengu).  Matsumoto returned to action in SJPW against "Seven Second Killer" Oleg Vladikoff.  Matsumoto looked extremely well, both physically and technically in the ring.

We all remember the tremendous rivalry between Super Tengu and Jensei Tenru when SJPW once again opened its doors months ago.  The feud then grew to include MLWO Japan champion Jinsei Tenru.  Tengu was sidelined with a neck injury by the MLWO Japan champ in a three way match that featured all parties.

Although Matsumoto could not be reached for comment, my lockeroom sources say that he wants to "finish his business with the two Tenru's."  And to add another twist to this situation, Oleg Vladikoff is said to want Matsumoto back in the ring very soon.

One thing is very certain: over the holiday season this scenario is bound to be one of the most explosive situations that SJPW has had to date.
