1998 Welch Cup Second Round Tuttle: This match-up could be an instant classic... let's head to the ring... THE TOKYO BLADES!!!!!!! (gigantic pops) (The Tokyo Blades walk to the ring slowly, slapping hands with the fans. They have intense looks on face, and always keeps eyes on the ring. They're wearing Muta like facepaint with Japanese writing on cheeks and sport very un-Japanese like mohawks. They wear long black tights that have the crossed samurai blades (Katana/Wakizashi) on the right leg, and "Tokyo Express" written in red on left leg. Tights are black, as are boots. Wears imitation ceremonial samurai armor top with helmet and facemask, and carries swords to the ring (we never use them; it's part of the gimmick) After taking off armor, spits mist into the air) Tuttle: Tremendous ovation here for the Tokyo Blades... it was a little over a year ago in this very building where Katana and Wakizashi became the WWW Tag Team Champions... the first tag team champions here. TNT: Yeah... but Katmanzoo and Wakawakawaka haven't wrestled consistently in over four months n' Th' Ronin have not only done that, but looked impressive beatin' a couple o' Lost Boyz Albertson: They're oppo... (The Kabuki Kid and Tokugawa climb over the barricade and blindside the Tokyo Blades) Tuttle: What th... The Ronin have just come out of the crowd and attacked the Blades... Tokugawa throws Wakizashi over the top as The Kabuki Kid is putting the boots to Katana... Double Team by the Ronin... double Irish whip... duck under clothesline by Katana... DOUBLE SHOULDERTACKLE BY KATANA!!!! Wakizashi is up on the top rope... DOUBLE AXEHANDLE ON THE KABUKI KID!!!! TNT: Come on ref... take control. **ding** **ding** **ding** Tuttle: there's the bell... it'll be Tokugawa and Wakizashi starting things off here. TNT: Wakawakawaka has t' know he can't match power wit' Tokugawa, who's one of th' more underrated tag team power wrestlers in our sport. Tuttle: Collar and elbow... go behind by Tokugawa... reversed by Wakizashi... reversed by Tokugawa... reversed by Wakizashi... Belly to Back Suplex by Wakizashi!!! TNT: Looks like Wakawakawaka surprised Tokugawa wit' move. Tuttle: That's Tokugawa not Tokugawa. Tokugawa back to his feet... they tie up again... Irish Whip by Tokugawa... Wakizashi off the far side... Vicious Kneelift by Tokugawa!!! Tokugawa scoops up Wakizashi... Body slam... Knee Drop finds the mark. Tag is made to The Kabuki Kid... The Kid picks Wakizashi off the canvas... Slingshot Suplex!! TNT: Great impact on that move. That's always been one o' my favorites. Tuttle: The Kabuki Kid reveling in the fact that he's got Wakizashi down... he cinches him up... Piledriver! A cover... ...1... ...2... Tuttle: The counts broken up by Katana. TNT: Th' Kid's looking at Tokugawa like why didn't you stop him... Tuttle: The Kabuki Kid picks Wakizashi off the canvas... Hard right hand... another one... The Kid cinches up Wakizashi... Suplex... blocked... DDT by Wakizashi!!!! He makes the tag to Katana... Katana is perched up on the top... FLYING CLOTHESLINE by Katana finds the mark!! A cover... ...1... ...2... TNT: A kickout... I don't think you'll pin him wit' a clothesline from th' top, no matter who you are. You have t' beat'em down first. Tuttle: Katana picks The Kabuki Kid off the canvas... big chop by Katana... another one... Irish Whip by Katana... TNT: FLYIN' JALAPENO!!! Tuttle: They're from Japan, Tom... TNT: Sorry... FLYIN' SUSHI!!!! ...1... ...2... Tuttle: Kickout on two and a half. That's the thing about The Tokyo Blades... They're always looking for the pin. Katana doesn't lollygag around in there. Katana makes a tag... Irish Whip by Katana... KAMIKAZEE DROP!!! (Dudley Death Drop) A cover... ...1... ...2... Tuttle: Another kickout by The Kabuki Kid. TNT: This guy's tough... he went a long way in that SJPW jumpin' bean tournament earlier in th' year. Tuttle: Wakizashi picks The Kabuki Kid off the canvas... ooooo.... Low Blow by the Kid! He's got Wakizashi... Snap Powerbomb!! A cover... ...1... ...2... Tuttle: Katana with the save! TNT: n' here comes Tokucomma!!! Tuttle: TokuGAWA Tom... All four men are in the ring trading blows... Double Irish Whip by The Ronin... REVERSED!!!! The Kabuki Kid and Tokugawa collide in the center of the ring!! Katana and Wakizashi set up The Kabuki Kid... TNT: Tokugagima's diggin' in his tights... he's takin' a page out o' th' TNT playbook... I get royalty rights... Tuttle: LIGHTNING STRIKE ON THE KABUKI KID!!! The Kid's rolling around as Tokugawa takes a wild swing with those knucks... AND MISSED!!! THRUST KICK BY KATANA!!! The Tokyo Blades pick The Kabuki Kid up... Katana's hoisting him on his shoulders... Katana's climbing to the top... THE DECAPITATOR!!!! (LOD's Doomsday Device except Wakizashi hits a Hurricanrana instead of a clothesline) ...1... ...2... ...3!!!!! **ding** **ding** **ding** Albertson: The winners of the match advancing to the Quarterfinals... THE TOKYO BLADES!!!!!! Tuttle: Tremendous victory for the Tokyo Blades who look as impressive as ever.
