ER: We're back live to you from the Tokyo Dome for Ring
Wars. Up next is the first of two cruiserweight matches. This
first match is between "Tsunami" Rhiyoto Makada, and... Takao Nakami.
AO: Really? I like Nakami!
ER: I was afraid you were going to say that. I wonder who
is going to face Super Tengu next?
AO: However it is, they had better be good! Any word on
Survival?
ER; The last report came during the break. His plane took off late, and
he's en route. I hope he makes it in time!
AO: He won't. He's afraid.
ER: Don't start again Akira! We have to go to ringside for
the next match!
Ring Announcer: This match is one fall, 30 minute time
limit. Introducing first, from Kyoto, Japan, weighing 217lbs, "TSUNAMI"
RHIYOTO MA-KA-DA!
(As "Macarena" by Los Del Rio plays, Makada heads to the ring at a fast
paced jog, slapping hands with the fans. He has black hair slicked back
with gel, and dark brown eyes. He is wearing a black robe with a golden
tidal wave on the right side. He has on green tights with a large tidal
wave design curling from the left leg to the right. He has green boots
with 'RM' written in gold on both of them. He grabs the rope on the
apron, and slingshots himself into the ring, landing on his feet)
ER: Impressive entrance
AO: Pfahh. Show off. Here comes Nakami!
Ring Announcer: His opponent, from Tokyo, Japan, weighing
195lbs, TA-KAO NA-KAMI!!!!!!
(As "Thunder Kiss '65" by White Zombie plays, Takao Nakami comes walking
slowly down the walkway, and starts jaw-jacking with the fans. Nakami
is wearing a navy blue outfit with a hood, covering his face. After he
gets in the ring, he takes the hooded outfit off, and you can see his ring
attire. He wears a navy blue ninja outfit reminiscent of Great Sasuke
or Octagon with his name written in gold on the arms. He has a navy
blue mask covering his face, with gold outlining and designs. His boots
are also navy blue, with gold laces)
ER: He looks a little like Great Sasuke.
AO: But better! This is Takao Nakami; other than Super
Tengu, he is my favorite cruiserweight in SJPW!
ER: Whatever. There's the bell. Both men lock
up.. armdrag by Nakami. Makada gets up... they lock up again...
armdrag by Makada! They seem to be feeling each other out, Akira.
AO: Yes. They go to lock up again, and Nakami whips Makada
to the ropes. He goes for another armdrag, but Makada spins around over
his body, and catches Nakami in a beautiful headscissors.
ER: Nakami back up.. Makada whips him to the ropes...
Makada going for a hurricanrana... Nakami counters with a tiger bomb!
He flips Makada over, then hiptosses him to the mat.
AO: Nakami reaches down to Makada, but Makada kicks him off with
his feet... kip up by Makada. He runs at Nakami... Nakami ducks down...
Makada off the ropes...Nakami leapfrogs... he turns around... Makada nails
him with a spinning kick!
ER: Makada picks Nakami up... enzuigiri to the side of the
head. Makada back up... bounces off the ropes... Powerdrive elbowdrop
to the back of the head!
AO: Just like Great Muta! Makada goes to the apron...
Springboard legdrop on Nakami (fans clap). Get up Takao!
Makada now going to the top rope. Nakami getting up slowly... Makada
comes off the top rope... hurricanrana! Nakami rolls out of the
ring.
ER: Makada bounces off the ropes.... baseball slide dropkick
into Nakami! Nakami hits the railing! Makada on the outside
now... he Irish whips Nakami into the rail!
AO: Makada back in the ring. He climbs the top rope..
Makada off the top rope... Nakami side steps! Makada hit the railing
hard. The referee starts to count...
Ref: One!
ER: Nakami on the apron... Asai Moonsault to the floor on
Makada!
Ref: Two!
AO: Nakami now whips Makada into the railing. He picks him
up... Suplex on the floor!
Ref: Three!
ER: Nakami rolls Makada back in the ring... He bounces off the
ropes...Somersault splash on Makada's back! He has Makada up...
DDT!
AO: Nakami is taking it to Makada now! He gets Makada
up.... chop... another... another... Nakami whips him to the ropes...
catches him... Stun Gun! Makada bounced 5 feet up after having his
throat dropped on the ropes!
ER: Makada is rolling around on the mat, holding his neck.
Nakami goes to the tope rope... Makada is lying flat... Nakami somersaults
off the top... Makada rolls out of the way! Nakami lands face first on
the mat!
AO: Makada slowly rises to his feet. He picks up Nakami,
and whips him to the ropes... spinning backbreaker! Nakami is flopping
like fish out of water. Makada turns around... Backflip
moonsault. Cover... one... two... Thr-kickout! (fans
clap)
ER: Makada has Nakami up... Spinebuster. Makada now with a
kneedrop. Another... cover... one... two... thr-kickout again by
Nakami! (fans clap)
AO: Makada is unable to keep Nakami down. Makada has him
up again, but Nakami drops down with a jawbreaker. Makada is down
again!
ER: Nakami with a scoop slam... he's going to the top rope...
450 splash! (fans clap; may oooh) Didn't Kronus of the
Eliminators do that at the ECW PPV?
AO: Yes, he did. It probably looked more impressive when
he did it, because he's around 300lbs, and Nakami is less than 200.
Nakami now with a Code Red Armbar on Makada.
ER: Nakami seems a well rounded wrestler. the ref checks
with Makada... he refuse to submit. He's struggling to get to the
ropes!
AO: He's getting closer.... Nakami tries to cinch harder...
Makada is almost there.... He made it. Nakami breaks the hold.
ER: These two men are really taking out all the stops.
Nakami sets Makada up.... lifts him up... he slingshots him off the ropes....
powerbomb! I've never seen a slingshot powerbomb done before!
AO: Ultimo Dragon has done it before. In WCW too.
ER: I don't watch WCW.
AO: Whose fault is that? Nakami runs to the corner....
split legged moonsault on Makada! Cover... one... two... thre-
kickout! What will it take to put Makada down?
ER: I hope this match doesn't go to a draw like the tag
match. There two men are really putting on a great match for the fans
in the Tokyo Dome! Nakami whips Makada to the ropes... he goes for a
Tilt O'Whirl.... Makada counters with flying headscissors.... Nakami goes out
of the ring again.
AO: Makada seems to have gotten his second wind. He
bounces off the ropes... somersault plancha! Both men go down
hard! They seem to be very evenly matched.
ER: They do. Makada is getting up first... He executes a
Rude Awakening style neckbreaker on the floor. He's going under the
ring.... he's got a table! He's setting it up! (fans start
ooohing). He rams Nakami's back into the apron, then snap mares him
over. He drops a leg on Nakami.
AO: Now he has Nakami up, and he puts him on the table. I
don't like this Eddie-san. Where's security? Makada now beating
on Nakami with forearm shots.
ER: Makada is jumping up on the apron. What is he
doing? Security is starting to move in... Makada is up to the top...
one of the attendants is reaching for Nakami.... Makada moonsaults off the
top rope to the floor, putting Nakami and himself THROUGH the table!
(fans ooooh, then clap furiously) Both men look hurt! The ref
starts his count...
Ref: one!
AO: That was despicable. And Makada is supposed to be a
good guy! Yet he need table to win match. I never needed a table
to win my matches!
Ref: Two!
ER: No, but you did use that kendo stick when you wrestled in
the US.
Ref: Three!
AO: Shut up Eddie-san.
Ref: Four!
ER: Both men slowly get to their feet.
Ref: Five!
AO: They both roll into the ring. Good. I hate to
see this good match end in countout. Makada is first to his feet... He
runs to the ropes and comes off.... Nakami drops down.... Makada off the
ropes on the other side.... Nakami leapfrogs...
ER: Makada off the ropes again... Nakami with a
hurricanrana! He rolls him into a cradle... the ref drops down...
one... two... Makada reverses... one... two... Nakami reverses... one...
two... THREE!!! Nakami got him!
AO: YES!!!
Ring Announcer: Your winner, TAKAO NAKAMI!!!!! (The
fans through streamers into the ring as others clap loudly)
ER: That was an incredible match! Both me gave it their
all.
AO: But Nakami won. Just like Super Tengu will win his
match next!
ER: Give Makada credit; he put up one hell of a fight.
That moonsault through the table was incredible!
