Super Japan Pro Wrestling, May 3rd, 1997 Ring Announcer: Our next match is a first round matchup in the SJPW Cruiserweight tournament! Introducing first, from the USA, weighing 235lbs, ACE KILL-CAN-NON! (as "Judgement Night" by Biohazard and Onyx glares over the loudspeakers, the arena lights turn red. Ace comes out from the back, and cockily strolls down the runway, staring smugly at the Tokyo Dome fans. He has long blonde hair tied in a pony tail, and very tan skin. He is wearing red tights with a black line circling the left leg, and "RoT" going down the left. He has on a black vest with "Reign of Terro" on the back. He steps into the ring, where "RoT" is shining in the ring in black. He takes off his sunglasses, revealing intense blue eyes. He steps towards a corner, and gives his jacket to the ring attendants, and the lights turn back to normal) ER: Impressive entrance for Killcannon. it seems he is part of the "Reign Of Terror", which also counts Badd Intentions as members. AO: Then I like him even less! I hope Sasaki kicks the *bleep* out of him! ER: Akira! Watch your language! You want us to get in trouble with the censors? AO: I have plenty of money. I can pay fine. ER: I can't! We have to go back to ringside. Ring Announcer: His opponent, from Tokyo, Japan, weighing 212lbs "SHIN-JIN-RUI" SHIN-YA SA-SAKI!!! (The theme from "The Young & Dangerous II" starts to play over the loudspeakers. The lights in the arena go dim, and Spotlights focus on the entrance of the runway. Shinya Sasaki, accompanied by Chinami Kuromoto, appears, and starts to walk down the runway. Shinya is wearing a tight yellow t-shirt with a tiger face pitcure on it. He has on white karate pants, and yellow/white running shoes. He has short black hair with stripes of dark red in it. He is of medium build, and his eyes have the stone cold look of a killer. He is carrying a sword in a scabbard to the ring. Chinami has shoulder length black hair, with brown-striped highlights. Her eyes look slightly big for an asian woman. She is wearing a tight blue t-shirt that says "Ready to Bear" on it, as well as a picture of a teddy bear. She has a short white skirt, and high white boots. She is wearing a purse. As Shinya enters the ring, fans throw streamers) ER: It looks like the fans favor Sasaki over Killcannon. AO: Of course they do. Sasaki is local boy, while Ace is Gaijin! ER: There's the bell. They lock up..Sasaki with a hiptoss. Ace is up, and they lock up again...Ace gets Sasaki in a headlock, but he whips him to the ropes..Ace comes off the ropes, duck down by Sasaki..Ace comes off again, leapfrog by Sasaki...Ace once more off the ropes..Sasaki goes for another leapfrog..Ace catches him and slams him hard with a spinebuster! (fans applaud) AO: Ace has him up..belly to belly suplex. Ace now with a scoop slam; it looks like Ace is relying on his larger size and strength to wear down Sasaki, instead of going with his usual aerial tactics. ER: Looks that way. Ace now with a Gutwrench suplex on Sasaki. He has him up once more..Irish whip sends Sasaki to the ropes..Ace going for a Tilt O'Whirl, but Sasaki counters with a flying headscissors! (fans applaud). Both men up..spinwheel kick by Sasaki sends Ace through the ropes. Sasaki is going to the top rope! AO: Yes, but he's facing the ring! What's he doing? He looks back, and sees Killcannon getting to his feet..Sasaki backflips off the top rope..he's somersaulting...plancha on Ace! (fans ooooh, then applaud) Killcannon slams into the railing, and Sasaki crashes to the floor! That was amazing! ER: The ref is starting to count; I hope they don't get counted out! Ref: One! AO: I see Ace is getting up, and Sasaki is starting to stir.... Ref: Two! ER: Ace is going to the apron Ref: Three! AO: He's up on the apron...he jumps up on the top rope, bounces off, twists, and legdrops Sasaki on the floor! (fans oooh, then applaud) These men seem equally matched in many ways! Ref: Four! ER: Ace has Sasaki up..belly to back suplex on the mat! Ref: Five! AO: Ace up again, and he drags Sasaki to his feet... Irish whip by Ace..reversal by Sasaki sends Ace into the rail again! Ref: Six! ER: Sasaki on the apron... Asai Moonsault off the apron to the floor! (fans clap) Ref: Seven! AO: He calls that the "Space Flying Tiger Drop". Both men are trying to get up! Ref: Eight! ER: They're both inching to the apron.... Ref: Nine! AO: They made it! (fans applaud) Sasaki is first to his feet... he goes for a spinwheel kick, but Ace ducks. Ace grabs him from behind..German Suplex! Ref counts...one...tw-kickout by Sasaki. ER: Ace is now grabbing Sasaki's legs. What's he doing? It looks like...He's locking him in a Texas Cloverleaf! He's going for a submission! AO: He's got him over! Sasaki telling the ref he won't submit! Ace is cinching down, and Sasaki is screaming in pain! He's close to the ropes, and is trying to reach out to them with his hand. Ace cinches down again, and Sasaki drops his arm in pain! ER: Ace lets go of the Cloverleaf. Now he's locking on a Camel Clutch! Again Sasaki refuses to give up! AO: Sasaki grabs the ropes, and Ace breaks the hold. (fans clap) He has Sasaki up...Tazplex dumps Sasaki on his head! Killcannon is taking it to Sasaki! It looks like he's trying to hurt him more than beat him! ER: Killcannon has disdain for Japanese wrestlers, I'm sorry to say. He's sending a message to all the wrestlers in SJPW of his contempt! Killcannon whips Sasaki to the ropes...Sasaki nails Ace in the face with an open hand jab! Now he hits him with two kick side kicks to the side of Killcannon's face...now a snap kick to the gut double's Ace over...DDT by Sasaki sends Killcannon down! (Fans applaud) AO: Both me are down in the ring..the referee is starting to count... Ref: One! ER: Sasaki is the first one trying to get to his feet... Ref: Two! AO: Sasaki is almost there... Ref: Three! ER: Sasaki on his feet, and he drags Killcannon up. He's hooking him up for a fisherman's suplex...Fisherman's buster dumps Killcannon on his head! This has been a fairly even match! AO: Sasaki sets Ace up...He has him up high for a vertical suplex...and drops him down into a tiger bomb! (fans oooh) Cover...one..two..thre-kickout! (fans applaud) That's the "Orange Crush" Sasaki senses victory now. ER: Sasaki comes off the ropes, and nails Ace with a somersault legdrop. He drags him up, and sets him on the top rope. Looks like a belly to back superplex coming up. Wait! Sasaki is climbing the ropes too! What's he doing? AO: I don't know..he's sitting on Ace's shoulders..he twists around and..Hurricanrana off the top rope to the floor! (fans oooh, then applaud) Sasaki hits the railing as Killcannon lands in the crowd! This man is like a Kamikaze!!!!! ER: Security is moving in to get Killcannon back ringside as the ref starts his count... Ref: One! AO: Sasaki is stirring... Ref: Two! ER: Killcannon is back over the railing, and is trying to get to his feet... Ref: Three! AO: Both men now trying to get up on the apron... Ref: Four! ER: Killcannon and Sasaki are exchanging blows on the apron.... Ref: Five! AO: Sasaki Grabs Ace by the throat...Chokeslam off the apron to the floor! (fans oooh) Killcannon hit the ground hard! Ref: Six! ER: Sasaki gets up now, and he's dragging Killcannon to his feet... Ref: Seven! AO: Sasaki rolls Killcannon into the ring, and rolls in after him. Phew! We don't need another countout! This match is great! ER: Sure is! Sasaki has Killcannon over his shoulder...Thunderfire powerbomb! That's Atsushi Onita's move! AO: Yes! Sasaki signals it's over...He's going to the top rope...Kilcannon's dragging himself to his feet... ER: Sasaki is almost to the top rope...Killcannon is on his feet...He's heading over to the ropes...He sets himself right under Sasaki, so he's sitting on his shoulders... AO: Killcannon falls backwards, and Sasaki lands hard! (fans applaud) It looks like he hurt his neck! Killcannon is using the ropes to get to his feet! ER: Killcannon to his feet...He goes over to Sasaki, and sets him up...Powerbomb. He's signalling to the crowd...Chinami is on the apron, and is arguing with the referee! Security is moving in to get her down. AO: Killcannon is on the top rope..He leaps off, corkscrews in mid-air, and lands back first on Sasaki! (fans oooh, then applaud) Amazing move! ER: He calls it the "Skytwister Press"! The ref is still distracted! AO: "Skytwister Press"? That's what Sasaki calls his move! Killcannon sees the ref is distracted...Killcannon just dropped a knee on Sasaki's groin! Cheater! ER: The ref is turning around...cover..one..two..three! Ring Announcer: Your winner, ACE KILLCANNON! AO: Killcannon cheated! ER: He sure did! But Chinami distracted the ref first, and may have cost Sasaki the match; I don't think the Skytwister was enough to put him away. AO: So Killcannon advances to round two. ER: Yup. And I'm sure Sasaki will want a rematch after that ending. Killcannon had nothing but contempt for Sasaki, even though Sasaki was his equal in skill.
