Super Tengu versus Tiger Kikuchi
Super Japan Pro Wrestling, April 26th, 1998

ER:  Don't worry.  He'll make it.  I know he will.  You'll see.  Hey!  Why are they bringing in a third chair and headset?

AO:  I don't know; let me find out (Akira mutters something in Japanese to someone in the background).  No!

ER:  What's the matter Akira?

AO:  We are going to be joined by someone.

ER:  Who?

AO:  Seijii Mishima.

ER:  The Satoko's husband?  (chuckles) Oh this is too much!  (Seijii Mishima enters the control center.  He takes the seat that was brought in for him, and puts on a headset)

ER:  Welcome Mr. Mishima.  How are you tonight?

Seijii Mishima:  Not good Eddie-san.  As you know, Super Tengu has caused my house much shame when he exposed my wife's infidelities.  I have been humiliated, and have lost much honor because of this.  Tonight, I start my revenge.  Super Tengu is in for a big surprise tonight.  I have brought in a wrestling legend to avenge my family honor.  To avenge my honor!

AO:  Your honor?  You're the one who married a prostitute!

SM:  Shut your mouth, Ono, before I get someone to shut it for you.

AO:  I quiver in fear at your threats Mishima.  Who are you going to get to fight Super Tengu?  Some Gaijin knight in shining armor, here to defend your wife's good name?  (laughs) Who could you, a BANKER, possibly get to fight for you?

ER:  Akira, he's our guest!  Show some respect!

SM:  That is all right Eddie-san.  I'll tell you who I have Ono.  I have someone who wrestles with honor and integrity, and who is an old friend of my family.  Look to the ring, and see Super Tengu's DOOM!  (cut to the ring announcer)

Ring Announcer:  This match is one fall, 30 minute time limit.  Introducing first, from Okinawa, weighing 235lbs, TI-GER KI-KU-CHI!!!  (The fans go nuts, and streamers fly into the ring)

AO:  Buddha NO!  Not Tiger Kikuchi!  He is a LEGEND!

SM:  Yes, and he owes my family a debt.  Now I collect it, and my revenge shall be complete!

ER:  Tiger Kikuchi?  He invented the Tiger Driver!  Super Tengu doesn't stand a chance!  This guy has been a world champion!  This would be a main event anywhere in the world, and we have it FREE on Ring Wars!!!

Ring Announcer:  And his opponent, from Kobe, Japan, weighing 233lbs, SU-PER TEN-GU!!!!  (As "Try again" by Megumi Hayabashira plays, an image of a burning Eagle lights up the ring.  Super Tengu walks down the runway wearing a robe made of Red, Silver and Black feathers.  He is wearing a mask shaped like a Raven's head.  The fans surprisingly clap loudly as he enters the ring, and some throw streamers onto the walkway.  He walks arrogantly to the ring, occasionally turning in mid-stride to model his robe to the crowd.  He gets on the apron, and turns to face the crowd.  He raises his arms out like he's crucified, then backflips into the ring.  He takes off the raven mask, and is wearing a black mask with red flames on it, and silver highlights.  When he takes off his robe, his ring attire is a black bodysuit with the same motif on it.  He gets up on the turnbuckles, and raises his arms arrogantly to the crowd)

ER:  The crowd really popped when Tengu came out.

AO:  Surprised?  he is very popular.

SM:  He is a disgrace!  he has NO HONOR!  Kikuchi will destroy him!

AO:  Then why doesn't Tengu look afraid?

SM:  Because he is a fool!

ER:  There's the bell.  They lock up... Tengu with a hiptoss.  Kikuchi back up..  they lock up again... Tengu with the hiptoss again.  He's feeling Kikuchi out.  Smart move.

SM:  He is afraid!  Why does he not show off now?  he's afraid!

AO:  No, he's using his brains.  He's feeling Kikuchi out.

ER:  Tengu armdrags Kikuchi down... he locks on an armbar.  Kikuchi reaches the ropes immediately.

SM:  Because he is smarter than Tengu!

AO:  Tengu breaks the hold, then locks on a headlock.  Kikuchi whips Tengu to the ropes... he goes for a hiptoss... Tengu counters with a bulldog.  Tengu drops the elbow... he runs to the ropes... backflip into an elbowdrop!  This man is talented!

SM:  He is evil!  Vile!  He must be defeated!

ER:  Tengu now has Kikuchi up... Kikuchi knees him in the gut... chop to the chest by Kikuchi!  Tengu cringes in pain.

SM:  YES!  GET HIM!

AO:  You sound like a fanatic!  Kikuchi whips Tengu to the ropes...Tilt-o-Whirl Slam!  Kikuchi runs to the ropes...snap legdrop!

ER:  Syxx does legdrops like that!

AO:  Who do you think taught it to him?  Kikuchi with another legdrop... three... four... five... six... seven!  He's being vicious!  I've never seen Kikuchi wrestle this way before!

SM:  That is because he has never had a personal stake in a match like this before!

ER:  Kikuchi has Tengu up... he's going for a tombstone... Tengu is wobbling his legs... Tengu on his feet... reversal by Tengu!  He drove Kikuchi down into the mat!  Tengu drops the leg on Kikuchi's arm, then locks on short armscissors.  He's trying to wear Kikuchi down so he can't do the Tiger Driver!

AO:  Which is smart move.  He is putting more pressure on the armscissors.  Kikuchi refuses to give up!  Kikuchi is too good to submit this early; Tengu must have a plan!

SM:  It will fail; Kikuchi has promised me victory and revenge!

ER:  Kikuchi is getting up!  There's no way he can lift Tengu up with one arm... wait!  He is!  He has Tengu up with one arm, and Tengu still has the armscissors on.  Tengu looks worried now!  (Fans clap)

SM:  Kikuchi will destroy him!

AO:  Kikuchi now has Tengu over his head... He just dropped Tengu with a suplex like maneuver!  (fans clap and ooohh)

ER:  I remember Davey Boy Smith doing that to Shawn Michaels when Michaels won the Intercontinental Title from him!

SM:  Destroy him Kikuchi!

AO:  Kikuchi now with a German suplex... cover... one... two... thre- kickout by Tengu!  Whew!  I thought he had him there!  Kikuchi sets him up for another German suplex... Tengu backflips over him... enzuigiri to the back of Kikuchi's head!  Kikuchi falls over the top rope!

SM:  NO!

ER:  Tengu going to the top rope... he's measuring Kikuchi... hurricanrana off the top rope to the floor!  Kikuchi slams into the railing!  (fans oooh and clap) Tengu looks hurt too.  The ref starts the count

SM:  NO!

Ref:  One!

AO:  You said that all ready.  Tengu and Kikuchi are getting to their feet.  Tengu moves in... kick to the gut by Kikuchi... Kikuchi slams Tengu's head into the railing

Ref:  Two!

ER:  Kikuchi rams Tengu's back to the apron, then runs into him with a clothesline.  Tengu is squashed between Kikuchi and the apron!

Ref:  Three! 

SM:  Get him Kikuchi!

AO:  Kikuchi setting Tengu up... he whips Tengu to the railing... Tengu jumps up on the railing... he moonsaults off the railing onto Kikuchi!  (fans oooh and clap)

SM:  NO!

Ref:  Four! 

ER:  Tengu now up on the apron...Asai Moonsault off the apron to Kikuchi on the floor!  Tengu is suicidal!

AO:  Now, he's simply keeping Kikuchi out of his element.  Tengu getting up slowly... he rolls into the ring... he starts playing to the crowd.  (laughs) And they love him!

SM:  NO!  He is evil!

AO:  You said that all ready.

ER:  Kikuchi now in the ring... Tengu grabs him... snap suplex.  Tengu lifts him up again... Northern Lights Suplex... cover... one... two... kickout.  Tengu is really doing a number on Kikuchi!  Tengu whips Kikuchi to the ropes... Frankensteiner.  He pops back up... bounces off the ropes... bounces off the other side...Asai Moonsault again right on Kikuchi's back!.

AO:  Tengu now setting Kikuchi up on the top rope.  Is he going for a superplex?  Now, it looks like a Frankensteiner... he goes for it...Kikuchi counters with a powerbomb!  Tengu is crumpled like a piece of paper!  Get up Tengu!  (crowd oooohs)

SM:  Now Kikuchi!  Destroy him!

ER:  So much for unbiased commentating.  Kikuchi picks up Tengu, who is limp, and sets him up for a suplex.  He gets him up, and holds him there.  Could he be going for the Tiger Driver?

AO:  NO!

SM:  YES!

ER:  YES!  He drops Tengu down from the vertical position into the tombstone position!  (crowd claps) Tengu's neck looked like it snapped!  Kikuchi may have broken Tengu's neck!

SM:  YES!

AO:  NO!  Get up Tengu! 

ER:  Kikuchi with the cover... one... two... three- NO!  Tengu kicked out!  I thought he was dead!  Kikuchi can't believe it!  He's arguing with the referee!

SM:  Finish him Kikuchi!

AO:  Get up Tengu!!!

ER:  Tengu grabs the ropes... he's trying to get to his feet... He's halfway there... He's on his feet!  Kikuchi has no idea he's up!  Tengu heads over to Kikuchi.

SM:  NO!  TURN AROUND!!!!

AO:  GET HIM TENGU!!!

ER:  Kikuchi finished jaw jacking wit the ref... he turns around... Frankensteiner by Tengu!  Where does he get this from?  Tengu now up again... he runs to the ropes... dropkick... another... another... another!  Tengu is on a roll now!

AO:  YES!  Tengu whips Kikuchi to the corner... he follows up with a handspring elbowsmash into the corner.  He mounts the turnbuckles, and starts to punch Kikuchi!

(Crowd starts counting: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!)

ER:  Tengu is tearing Kikuchi apart!

SM:  NOOOOOOOO!!!!!

AO:  Tengu now sets Kikuchi up on the top rope.... It looks like he's setting him up for a Fisherman's superplex.  That's his move, the Depth Charge!  He gets it!  He bridges back... the referee counts... one... two... THREE!!!  TENGU WINS!!!  (crowd applauds; many stand; streamers flood the ring)

ER:  Unbelievable comeback by Super Tengu.  And the crowd is giving him an ovation!

AO:  They love him!  The really love him!

SM:  This is disgusting!  I'm leaving (throws headset down, and storms off the set)

ER:  I guess Seijii Mishima will have to find someone else to get him his vengeance on Super Tengu.

AO:  But for now, Super Tengu is soaking in the applause from his fans.  Wait, he's going over to Kikuchi!  Is he going to attack him?

ER:  No.  He's offering his hand to Kikuchi!  Kikuchi looks at his hand, then to the crowd (crowd claps).  Kikuchi shakes his hand!  (crowd applauds furiously!) Tengu now raising Kikuchi's hand up in victory!  They face all four sides of the ring this way, and bow each time.  The crowd is going nuts... the ring is being smothered in streamers.  A very strange act of good sportsmanship from Super Tengu.

AO:  It's called RESPECT Eddie-san.  Super Tengu may be someone you do not like, but he has respect for his opponents.  He is great man!

ER:  That remains to be seen.
