RINGST*RS Pure Fight
by Yukiko Obarra, 11/06/98

Hi everybody! Yuki here! My friend Miwa and I just got home from a great R*S show. It was very exciting and a new (interim) champion was crowned. For those of you who don't know, Misae Suzuki, the current Japanese National women's champion is on a leave of absence due to family crisis. It was decided but R*S to have a champion in her place 'til she returns. When That happens(I hope VERY soon!) the two champs will fight to see who the true champion is.

The Pure Fight one night tournament was held in Fukashima at Sun Shine Namie. Miwa and I got there a little early so we could get some stuff but we got something even better! we got to meet Diamond Kenyuki! We saw her outside as we were going in and we just HAD to talk to her! She was very nice and she signed our Ladies Gong magazines too! Miwa was jealous cuz Diamond said my English was very good :) That just made the whole night better!

Anyway, after that we went in and got to our seats. They were 3rd row ringside so we got a good view of all the action. The crowd was kinda small, that's how things are these days, but they were all enthusiastic and eager to see the R*S action.

After the usual opening ceremony, Director Yamada brought out the new title belt, and everybody gave a moment of silence to hope that Misae would be back soon. The Yamada declared that the tournament could begin! All the fighters went back to the backstage area and we waited for the matches to begin. About 10 minutes later we heard "I remember California" By R.E.M. playing over the PA and we knew things were beginning.

The First Fight- Mariko Nakayama vs. Holly Volley

Nakayama was totally focused when she came out to the ring. She really looked kinda mad and didn't even look at us fans. She just got into the ring and waited in her corner. Then, Sheryl Crow's "May be angels" started and the fans began to cheer when the American, Holly Volley walked out. While Nakayama wore only a simple black 2 piece, Volley had a little more elaborate outfit... Her red and gold letter jacket really stood out over her red white and gold top. she also wore red and white shorts, white kneepads and shiny red boots. She was very friendly and took time to slap hands and say hi to fans. Once she got in the ring she also waited patiently. We were a little concerned about her shoulder injury, and she frequently tried to shake it loose before the match started. Chizu Yamada made the opening announcements and the match was under way.

Nakayama gave a very quick handshake and started her attack right away, pulling Holly in to a kick to the stomach. After that it was all Nakayama for some time. She landed many high impact moves, including a powerbomb that really seemed to aggravate Holly's shoulder injury. At 5:15 of the match Nakayama tried for another powerbomb but Holly managed to turn it in to a sunset flip and get 2 counts. She couldn't follow up quick enough though and Nakayama took over again, sending her to the corner. Holly got her foot up and Nakayama ran full speed into it. This time Holly ran right through her with a HUGE lariat and picked her up to execute a beautiful series of German suplexes but couldn't get 3 counts. It seemed like Holly was finally getting control of the match around the 8 minute mark but then Nakayama pulled out another one of her many holds, and countered Holly's running lariat with a wakigatame on her bad shoulder! Holly looked in terrible pain but we all cheered and clapped for her and she got to the ropes! Nakayama was not happy(I don't think she likes Americans). She left Holly on the mat and went to the top rope. As Holly got up, she was hit square in the head with a diving knee! After that Nakayama really impressed us when she lifted Holly into the "Torture Rack" backbreaker, then drove her to the mat with her TowerHacker bomb! Holly looked out and Nakayama signaled for the end of the match. She climbed to the top again, to go for a moonsault... But when she did, Holly lifted both feet straight up!! Poor Nakayama speared herself right into them and hit the mat clutching her abdomens and kicking her feet in pain. Instead of going for the cover, Holly pulled her up to her feet, and took her over for a northern light suplex! Nakayama was in so much pain, she couldn't kick out, and Holly got the pin at 12:08! It was a shock, since Nakayama had controlled so much, but I guess those things happen huh? Anyway, Holly showed her fighting spirit and made a big comeback to get her first win in R*S!

Winner-Volley-12:08

The ring was not empty for long after that though. As soon as Holly made her exit to a loud chorus of cheers, Van Halen's "Fire in the hole" began to play. "The Purist" Mia Gaynor made her way out. Another girl who didn't seem to friendly, Mia was dressed in plain sweat pants and a T-shirt, which she removed to reveal a white singlet and dark red tights, with black stripes down the sides. "Angel Blue" by Naoko Hamasaki then played and "Blue Angel" Keiko Sakura ran to the ring. She was practically skipping and almost tripped because she was trying to slap every hand she could find! Her one piece blue outfit had a very cool angel on the chest and "blue angel down each leg. She vaulted over the ropes and up to the turnbuckle like she had done it a thousand times, and soaked in the cheers from the fans.

Second Fight-Mia Gaynor vs. Keiko Sakura(Double debut)

It was nice to see a clean handshake at the starts of the match but as soon as they came out of their corners. Keiko Ran full speed at Mia, but she ducked out of the way. Before Mia turned around though Keiko ran right up the ropes in the corner and moonsaulted into Mia as she turned! The crowd went wild!! Keiko didn't cover though, but got up and ran off the ropes to execute a baseball slide kick and knock Mia out under the bottom rope. Then when Mia was outside, Keiko leapt over the top rope with a very graceful plancha! They both crashed to the mat on the floor. Keiko jumped up quickly and attempted to whip Mia to the railing, but Mia wouldn't go, and reversed it. Mia aimed a lariat but Keiko moved. She thought Mia hit the rail and turned to pose for the fans. That turned out to be a bad thing to do because Mia gave her a release German suplex on the floor! While Keiko was down Mia rolled back in and waited. Keiko was kinda stunned, which is not surprising, and staggered around ringside for a few moments before sliding back in to the ring. I think Keiko was a little more careful after that and they slowed down. This turned out to be another mistake for Keiko as the slower pace really favored Mia. she put on a great show of amateur style wrestling that had Keiko baffled! At3:32 Mia aimed an inside cradle, but got only a 2 counts. when Keiko raised her shoulder an got to her stomach Mia used a half nelson to roll her in to another pin but Keiko bridged out. When she did though, Mia hooked her in a dragon sleeper with a hammerlock! The Mia lock! This is one of Mia's finishing holds and we all got on the edge of our seats but Keiko was able to get her foot on the ropes. Keiko slapped the mat several times and was very frustrated. she went on the attack again and did better, scoring with a series of running dropkicks followed by a flying body press to get a near fall. Then she drove Mia with a very dangerous looking Michinoku driver #2 but still got only 2 counts. This was still not much past 6:30 but both girls were already very tired. They stayed on the mat a long time and ref Odaka almost started to count both of them down. Keiko got up first and pulled Mia up for a body slam. She started to go to the ropes, but got halfway there and changed her mind. She looked a little confused for a moment, as if she was thinking of what move to do next. Then she suddenly smiled and said "ahhhh" and ran back toward Mia and into a jarring reverse thrust kick to the jaw! She went down hard and Mia made a cover! We thought it was finished but Keiko bridged out at 2 9/10!! Ref Odaka was SOOO close! Mia had to check with her to make sure! Mia grabbed Keiko, picked her up and scooped her for a twisting tombstone piledriver! No cover, instead she picked Keiko up and aimed a full nelson reverse Russian leg sweep and slammed Keiko face first to the canvas! Without turning her over, Mia moved right in to and STF. Mia had the hold locked in tight but Keiko struggled to loosen her grip and reach the ropes. It was a close call, but Keiko managed to do it! We all clapped for her and even though Mia was mad, she looked like she was impressed. Keiko got up really slow and her lip was a little bloody from the crossface. Mia whipped her to the ropes and aimed a lariat but Keiko got behind for a German suplex. Mia reversed and did her own instead, but Keiko landed on her feet!! She got a full nelson and did dragon suplex! She only got 2 counts but Mia was stunned again. Keiko decided to go for a finish and yelled for her skytwister. She bodyslammed Mia and went to the top rope. She raised her arms and yelled again, we thought she was wasting time, but she leaped and nailed Mia right on with it!! She made her cover, and three seconds later she jumped up to celebrate her victory! The only problem with that was that ref Odaka was only holding up two fingers! Mia had kicked out!! Keiko was shocked and looked at Odaka in disbelief for a few seconds before picking Mia up. She put Mia's head down and lifted her for a powerbomb, but Mia slipped out and landed on her feet, then ran to the ropes and aimed a lariat, but Keiko ducked and when Mia came back, Keiko hit her with a devastating uraken!! Mia ran right in to it at full speed!! Mia dropped for a cover... And this time she got 3!! She was careful to ask Ref Odaka this time to make sure and when she did, she hopped on to the ropes and waved to the fans. She ran to each corner and seemed very very happy. Mia wasn't happy on the other hand, but still shook Keiko's hand and bowed to her before leaving the ring. Keiko hung around for a while too, she was SO happy! Finally Chizu Yamada had to get her to leave so the next match could start!

Winner-Sakura-10:42

As soon as Keiko had left, "No Limits" by 2 Unlimited came over the PA and Sammy Bryant walked to the ring. She was in her black gi pants and sports bra top. Her brown hair was pulled back in a pony tail. She smiled as she slapped hands with the fans and climbed in to the ring. "Supervixen" by Garbage followed and Erin Solie made her way out in her red spandex shorts and black top. Erin's jet black hair hung free around her shoulders. She entered in a similar manner and took a moment to point at Sammy before entering the ring. They faced off in the center as Odaka gave instructions.

Already the fans were buzzing. This was the match that most of us were looking forward too! The bell rang and they still just stood there for a few moments. Finally, they shook hands. Instead of going to their corners. Solie stayed there and raised her arms for a test of strength. Sammy is 8" taller and 40 lbs heavier so she had no problem with this! They locked up and yelled as they struggled against each other. It didn't take long for Sammy to overpower Erin though, and she backed the smaller woman to the ropes. They lingered there, still locked together while Odaka counted, then finally Sammy broke. It was a clean break and we all applauded for it. Erin came off the ropes and pointed to Sammy, then to her own legs. Sammy knew what she wanted and threw a blistering low kick to Erin's thigh that buckled her knee. Erin stood up straight and brushed her thigh, as if to say "Is that all?" and pointed to her leg again. Sammy looked cautious and said "I don't think so!", and backed off to lean on the ropes, smiling at Erin across the ring. We all laughed and Erin nodded, smiling back.

Once they started again it went right to the mat. Erin tried to get juji gatame about 5 times in 30 seconds, but Sammy has been practicing a lot of matwork and knew how to defend pretty well. Of course, that didn't surprise Erin `cause I think they trained together a lot. Still it started to wear down Sammy's arm and she tried to stay on her feet. She eventually began to throw her kicks again and had success with them. Her reach was so great that Erin had trouble getting close. Finally at 4:43, Sammy tried to throw a high roundhouse to the body. I guess she thought Erin was worn down, but she got a surprise when Erin caught her leg and hit a dragon screw legwhip! Sammy hit the mat and her hands went right to her knee as she rolled in pain. Erin got up, limping noticeably by this time, and moved in. She attempted an ashi garame heel hold, but Sammy was not hurt enough yet and made it to the ropes very quickly. Up until this point it looked pretty much like a strong style match but when Sammy got up, Erin whipped her to the ropes and aimed a tilt a whirl slam and hit it! she covered but got 2 counts only. She locked an ude garame hold, but Sammy's long legs got the ropes again.

Erin kept control for several more minutes, attempting hold after hold, but Sammy could escape or counter them somehow. She tried a come back using a belly to belly suplex but Erin was only surprised by it. At 8:00 though, after a nasty Tiger suplex, Erin whipped Sammy to the corner and aimed a running elbow smash but Sammy leapt from the corner and did a beautiful spinwheel kick that got Erin right in the nose! Sammy didn't even pick Erin up. As she got to her knees Sammy rained roundhouse kicks in to her chest and back. One kick hit in the side of Erin's head and she flopped back to her back. Sammy tried for a pin, but got 2 counts only so she tried a juji gatame of her own! When Erin tried to escape by getting to her feet Sammy was able to take Erin's ankle and get a hiza(knee) juji gatame! This surprised Erin quite a bit. She almost forgot she was near the ropes! I think that was a move she taught to Sammy and was not expecting to get caught with it. They stood up again, and Erin nodded to Sammy in respect as she shook her leg out. Again, they started in the middle of the ring. This time Sammy went after Erin all out with a flurry of kicks and Shotay palms. She really showed her kickboxing background here and put Erin on the ropes in no time. She must have hit Erin 15 times in less than 10 seconds and the blood coming from Erin's nose showed that they were effective. Ref Odaka stopped Sammy and was about to ask Erin if she wanted to continue, but Erin pushed her away and charged at Sammy! Erin drove forearms into Sammy and Sammy returned them! They were a blur of arms and the smacks from the stiff blows could be heard all over!! Sammy threw a wild Shotay but Erin ducked and caught her from behind with a backdrop suplex. But Sammy got right back up!!! She grabbed Erin, spun her around and hit a backdrop of her own!! Erin could flip over and land on her feet though!! Before Sammy turned around Erin got her in the KISS GOODNIGHT!!!!!! Sammy is tall though and Erin couldn't get a good hold enabling Sammy to get free and go behind! She rolled Erin up for a pin but as ref Odaka counted Erin grabbed Sammy's arm, figure-foured her own legs and locked in sankaku-jime!!! Sammy tried really hard to get loose and I heard her say a few words that I won't write here... But she just couldn't break free, or get to the ropes so she had no choice but to tap out.

Both of them stayed on the mat for a long time before getting up. Sammy slapped the mat in disgust and stood up to face Erin. They stared for a while, then Sammy offered her hand and Erin shook it! They hugged and laughed and Sammy mussed up Erin's hair playfully. Sammy held up Erin's hand in victory and went to leave the ring, but Erin pulled her back and raised her hand too! They actually left the ring together, which is unusual. As they walked by our position I could hear Sammy saying that she'd get Erin next time.

Winner-Solie-14:30

After that, they announced there would be an intermission so Miwa and I got up to get some food. We noticed Diamond Kenyuki coming out to the ring in her uniform. She brought out 2 young junior girls and they put on a short training match. I think with Kenyuki's training they will be very good! I don't know their names, but the girl in pink beat the girl in the girl in green with a bodyslam. They got a little pop and both girls bowed to Kenyuki over and over again after the match.

When Miwa and I got back from intermission Holly, Erin and Keiko were already in the ring with Ref Odaka. They made the coin flip to see who would get the bye. At first I thought it was one of the Americans because Keiko seemed disappointed. It turned out that SHE got the bye and really wanted to wrestle again! Unfortunately for her it was Erin against Holly in the second round match. They were already in the ring so things started right away!

Pure Fight Second Round

Fourth Fight-Holly Volly versus Erin Solie

As always there were handshakes at the start of the match and they had a few nice words as Odaka called for the bell. Both women went right at each other into a lock up. They fought against each other in it all over the ring but neither could get an advantage so they broke up and started again. This time they slowly circled the ring and tried to look for a good opening. This went on for a while. Each tried to shoot, or to get a clinch but they had no luck. The stalemate went on still and neither would commit to a big move.

Finally when almost 5 minutes had passed Solie dove for Holly's legs. It was so sudden and surprising that Holly wasn't ready and was taken down clean. They grappled but it was a stalemate there too! Erin tried for submission holds but Holly would counter and move in to pinning combinations. Holly got almost 3 counts with a half nelson, but just couldn't hold Erin down. They stood up again and faced off. The match was VERY slow paced but not because they were tired. It was more like they didn't want to make a mistake.

At 7:15 Holly seemed to be getting frustrated at the lack of action. Erin did too. A draw would not get them anywhere. Holly rushed Erin and backed her to the ropes. An Irish whip followed but Erin ducked a lariat. she ducked a back elbow too and kept going she bounced off with a lariat of her own but Holly ducked! Erin came back one more time but got caught in a belly to belly suplex! Holly pulled her up and did another one too! she covered but only got 2 counts. She grabbed Erin's legs and turned her into a Boston crab! Erin was too fresh though and walked on her arms to the ropes. Erin got up and as she did Holly speared her to the mat hard! We could hear the air go out of Erin even where we sat! She was stunned, but Holly did the spear with her bad shoulder and hurt herself too. They got up pretty quick, but after their first fights, they were worn much more then they would normally be. They began trading elbow shots , to the chest and even a few to the head! Erin won this and backed Holly to the corner to deliver some more blows. Holly ducked one and put Erin in the corner. A few chops, then an Irish whip to the opposite corner followed. Holly ran in after Erin and aimed a BIG dropkick in the corner! Erin stayed on her feet and staggered out... Only to be scooped in to a side backbreaker by Holly. Holly covered but only got 1 count. Holly picked her back up and aimed a gutwrench suplex but Erin blocked it. Holly tried again but was blocked again so she turned around, grabbed Erin's head and did a bulldog headlock! She went for a win but only got 2 counts again. She slapped the mat but didn't complain. She sent Erin in to the ropes and hit great flying forearm, the stood up and yelled "PILEDRIVER!" so we all knew what was coming next! She got Erin set up and lifted her. . Then drove her into the mat! Holly rushed to get to her feet and raised her right hand, making a circling motion with it! Everybody stood up cuz we knew it was the signal for the figure 4! Holly grabbed Erin's leg and spun around, but Erin rolled her in to a small package!! Only 2 counts though... Erin was holding her neck a little but beat Holly to her feet and dropped an elbow while Holly was still kneeling. After pulling Holly up Erin went behind into a waistlock and aimed a German suplex but Holly wouldn't go. They fought at it for a moment, then Erin switched to a full nelson! She was going for Dragon suplex! Holly flailed her arms and tried to keep from being thrown and it seemed to be working. Without warning Erin switched from the full nelson back to the waistlock! Holly didn't have time to react and was taken over in a release German suplex!! But she got right up and charged Erin! Only to run right into a boot! Holly doubled over, Erin hooked her arms and dropped her with a double arm DDT!!! She covered... But still only 2 counts! Erin pulled Holly up and whipped her to the ropes. She doubled Holly over again with a boot and hooked her arms... But Holly powered free of the underhook and got a front waistlock into a release northern lights suplex! Holly was very quick to her feet and aimed not two, but THREE Russian leg sweeps in a row! Erin was not moving as Holly stood and pointed to the corner. It was unusual, but Holly dragged Erin over and lifted her to the top. Holly climbed up after her! This wasn't all though as Holly stood on the very top and brought Erin too! She tucked her head under Erin's arm and waistlocked her... She was aiming a super Northern lights suplex!! Like Devil Masami beat Chigusa with at the DreamSlam show!! This would be all for Erin!! EVERYBODY was standing to see this! Erin began to throw fists to the body of Holly, pounding them in to try and stop her. Holly loosened her grip and Erin shoved her right off the top!! Before Erin got down though, Holly jumped right up again and tried to grab her! Again Erin shoved her off the top rope!! But this time something went wrong... Holly screeched when she hit the mat and her hand went right to her shoulder! Ref Odaka was right there with her as she rocked back and forth on the mat. We knew something could be bad cuz Erin got off the rope and ran over to check on Holly. The doctor and even Sammy Bryant rushed in to the ring and they huddled around Holly spraying cold spray onto her shoulder. Several minutes later they stood up and Ref Odaka had Chizu announce that she had stopped the match. Erin and Sammy both helped Holly up and out of the ring while the doctor followed.

Winner-Solie-13:45

We all cheered as Holly walked to the back. She seemed to be under her own power but Sammy and Erin were definitely helping her. We hoped she was okay!

After another few minutes Chizu Yamada announced that there would be another short intermission. This was not planned, but obviously it was due to the accident with Holly. we had no choice to wait, but we knew that the final match would be Keiko against Erin now.

Things didn't look good for Erin. She was very tired and she looked very upset after her match with Holly. Keiko had only wrestled once and had a long time to rest. We were still very worried about Holly, but in an effort to entertain all of us during the wait Diamond Kenyuki came back out and challenged Chizu Yamada to a "match". It was not a real match, but like comedy and very funny too! Diamond won when sat down on Chizu and we all counted to 3! Then they left and we went back to waiting...

The unplanned intermission lasted almost 20 minutes and a lot of people were starting to get restless. I imagine the final match didn't start because Erin was still with Holly. Anyway, just as we were getting bored they got things moving again.

Keiko came out first but she didn't look the same as in her first match. She ran out, but seemed very nervous. Not a big surprise since it was only her second match and it was for a big title! She stood in her corner and paced. I think she just wanted to get things started.

Erin came out next and was still visibly upset due to the way her match with Holly went. Still, she was as focused as you could expect. She slapped hands with some fans and got right to the ring. Both of them waited in their corners through the introductions and were very cautious with their handshakes.

Final Fight - Keiko Sakura versus Erin Solie

I thought that this match would start very slow but I couldn't have been more wrong! At the bell Erin dashed across the ring and aimed a spear tackle at Keiko in the corner! But Keiko moved and Erin hit the padding, then fell through the ropes to the floor! Keiko immediately sprung up on to the top rope and perched there. When Erin got to her to her feet Keiko leapt off and aimed a super missile dropkick!! The force of the blow hit Erin right in the chest and she hit the ringside floor with a splat sound. There were pads but I doubt it helped either of them too much! Keiko got up and clapped her hands to get the fans going(it was not needed, we were already cheering!) and pulled Erin up by the hair and ran her to the ringside railing, screaming at the top of her lungs the whole way. As Erin slumped against the rail Keiko drove multiple boots to her chest, then ran her to the opposite rail. Ref Odaka was counting so Keiko slid Erin back in to the ring.

Keiko slid in next but Erin was already up and running to the opposite ropes. She rebounded in time to slam a running kick in to the side of Keiko's face! Erin pulled her up by the arm and did iponzei judo arm throw in to a jujigatame. Keiko was still to strong to give in and she mad it to the ropes pretty easily. An Irish whip was followed by a side slam and an ude garame but Keiko is very squirmy and got out. She tried for a juji but missed it and they got to their feet again.

They locked up and Erin took the advantage with her forearm/elbow smashes then took Keiko back down. They stayed on the mat for some time here. Keiko was surprisingly good on the mat but mainly tried to counter Erin's submission attempts. A couple times she aimed a good juji gatame but Erin escaped to the ropes each time. Keiko tried to make the match faster and more her pace but no matter what she did Erin would slow things back down and go back to the matwork. This forced Keiko to keep on the defense since her mat wrestling is not her strongest area. Erin was a lot more tired too and since there was no time limit (oops... forgot to mention that!) she was not worried about wasting time either.

At 8:17 Erin had controlled the match still but Keiko reversed an Irish whip and aimed a big spinkick! It got Erin right in the face! She screamed to the fans and aimed a snap suplex followed super quickly by a springboard moonsault for a cover! But she only got 2 counts. She really went for offense now and hit a series of dropkicks, then a backdrop suplex and another cover for just 2 counts. She was so fast that Erin couldn't get a move in once Keiko started! Keiko hit several more combinations... Including a powerbomb in to a Boston crab but couldn't put Erin away.

Just past the 12 minute mark Erin avoided a Shotay palm by Keiko, catching her under the arm for a northern lights suplex! Only 2 counts before Keiko got out and ran to the ropes. As Erin got up Keiko aimed a dropkick at her knee and got it. It looked like Erin was really hurt cuz she went down fast and held her knee. That didn't stop Keiko though! The crowd "Oooh"ed when Keiko hit a dropkick on the knee of the prone Erin and then stomped viciously on it several times. She dragged Erin out to center ring at applied a spinning toe hold! The fans started to chant "FANKU FANKU FANKU!!" because of the Terry Funk toe hold! Keiko cranked on Erin's leg and applied the hold several times. Erin screamed in pain but wouldn't give up. Keiko did a leg drop on the knee and tried to twist Erin's leg, but Erin used a crossface hold to break free. She got up but was limping badly. Keiko aimed Uraken right to her jaw! Ref Odaka made the count as Keiko hooked Erin's leg we all stood up in silence to see what would happen. Erin stayed totally still... Until almost at 3 counts she raised her shoulder an inch off the mat!!

Keiko was shocked and yelled to Odaka to make sure it was really only 2 counts. Then she picked up Erin and whipped her to the turnbuckle and aimed a running elbow which connected. Erin staggered from the corner and Keiko hit Ace Crusher! She picked up Erin and hit another! Again she pulled Erin up and aimed a LigerBomb but STILL only got 2 counts!!! We couldn't believe it and neither could Keiko! Erin had taken a huge amount of punishment!! Keiko dragged Erin near the corner and climbed up the ropes! She yelled out "SKYTWISTAAAAAAA!!!" and jumped off!! But Erin somehow could move!!!!!! Keiko slammed down hard and neither moved for a while after that. Ref Odaka started her 10 count but Keiko managed to get up first. She was starting to tire badly too. I think she may have worn herself out with all her offense.

This was after 20 minute mark so time was starting to get low. Keiko held her hand on her head and moved to pick Erin up again but Erin rolled her in to a small package, but instead of trying for a pin she aimed ude garame again! She didn't have much strength though and Keiko was able to get free. She kicked Erin in the face and pulled her up before whipping her to the ropes. Keiko aimed a lariat but Erin ducked then bounced back into a superkick! But Erin caught Keiko's foot and did a dragon screw legwhip! Now Keiko's knee was hurt and ERIN did a spinning toe hold!!! She only twisted a few time then brought Keiko up for an Irish whip. Erin aimed a belly to belly suplex but Keiko landed on her feet and ran to the ropes herself... Only to run in to a boot... And a double arm DDT!!! Erin didn't have much success with her submissions so she dropped an elbow and went for a pin, but only got 2 counts. She wobbled a little when she picked up Keiko and went for a rear waistlock. Keiko reversed but Erin blocked a suplex and rolled forward, taking Keiko on hiza juji gatame! She didn't keep the hold though and that was odd. Instead she got up, grabbed Keiko around the waist and pulled her up and over with a Dangerous backdrop driver!!!! she lifted Keiko all the way from her stomach on the mat!! Keiko landed directly on her head and flopped to the mat.

It was 25:00 now and it looked too late for Erin to make a big enough move to win. She was so tired she couldn't follow the driver and Keiko was able to get up. Erin was able to lariat Keiko back down but only got 2 counts with her cover. She lifted Keiko and did hangman's neckbreaker, then Tiger suplex but still only 2 counts! Erin tried another German suplex but this time Keiko flipped and landed on her feet and hit an uraken to Erin's face! The uraken spun her around and Keiko caught her to lift her for a tombstone but Erin reversed and drove Keiko instead!

Erin got her second or third wind now and was fired up! She lifted Keiko and threw her to the ropes for a lariat, then before she could fall Erin picked her up across her shoulders and hit death valley bomb! That wasn't all, she did it one more time and covered, but just barely missed 3 counts! Keiko looked bad and must have hit really hard. Erin moved in to juji - gatame to finish but somehow Keiko reached the ropes. She got up yet again and the began exchanging forearms, elbows, Shotay's, all sorts of strikes! Then Keiko hit the ropes and aimed a running Shotay but Erin ducked under and hit an Exploder suplex from nowhere!! She pounded on the mat with both fists and we all stomped on the floor in rhythm with her. Erin could hardly stand without staggering and neither could Keiko! Like all the fatigue finally got to her. Erin struggled to lift her, then hit an Exploder! and Another and another!! 3 Exploders in a row!!!!! The another double arm DDT! Keiko was in la la land when Erin dragged her to the corner and lifted her to the turnbuckle. Keiko tried to fight her, but she had just not enough energy left.

Erin climbed up with Keiko and hooked her for a superplex. But then she hooked Keiko's leg too! Super fisherman's buster!!!!!!! Keiko hit the mat and sprawled out flat! I could even see that her eyes were open but she was sooo out of it! Erin raised her arms up and almost fell down, but managed to get Keiko up again and double underhook her arms. Then she lifted Keiko up vertically and drove her straight down on to her head!! TIGER DRIVER 91!!! Keiko flopped over and Erin fell down to cover her for 3 counts!!!!!!!!!

Winner - Solie - 35:20

Streamers flew in to the ring all over Erin and Keiko who still hadn't moved. The juniors helped them both up as director Yamada and other officials entered with the belt, and a trophy that must have been 3 feet tall! They placed the belt on Erin and Keiko gave her a big hug too. Keiko was still a little dazed, but she was a great sport! Erin had tears in her eyes and everybody was standing for her as she walked out, waving to all us fans.

It was a really great show and I was glad Miwa and I got to see it in person! All the women fought very hard and any could have won! Next time I will definitely go to the events if I can!

I heard there will be big news on the next R*S Champ TV so I will be sure to report on that. Donut forget to check out PN Magazine at www.calnan.com/pnmagazine/ for all the latest news too(hey, they publish my R*S news now!)!

So until then Seeya!

Yuki!
