SJPW Card
- At the beginning of the card, Yukio "The Warbird" Murakami
delivered an interview in which he criticized the influence of Western ways
on Japanese culture. He then warned Tasogare no Prince that he would be
the next Welterweight Champion.
- Masato Kurasawa defeated Haruki Shiomi by pinfall with his Breath of Fire
spinning DDT.
- Greg "Millionaire" Miller defeated Sorai Jinbo by submission
with the Bankruptcy STF.
- Jonnie Adonis interviewed Tasogare no Prince who was critical of newly
appointed SJPW CEO Shinsaku Yamashita and stated his continuing loyalty to
ousted CEO Jumbo Kobayashi. The Twilight Prince also stated that he
found the creation of another Welterweight title in SJPW unnecesarry and
insulting. He also warned Yukio Murakami that he was looking forward to
defeating him for insulting the Japanese people.
- A pre-recorded interview was shown featuring Hashimoto "Seikyo"
Asui who spoke of his experience in nXw and MLW and how much he was looking
forward to competing in SJPW. He also promised Yorozu Izeki, his
opponent in his debut match, that he would experience the Seikyo.
Neo Japan Pro Exhibition Matches
- Genichiro Matsumura and Takao Fugawra of Neo Japan Pro Wrestling then
took over commentary duties for two NJPW exhibition matches.
- In an NJPW six-man tag match, the team of Maestro de Condenacion, El
Maestro Jr. and "Hardline" Byron Brady defeated the team of The
Crush Guys and Koji Nakano when Brady pinned Toshiro Watanabe with his Steel
City Suplex (screwdriver).
- In an NJPW singles match, "Ice Cold" Hiroyoshi Tenzaki defeated
Jin Hasegawa by submission with the STK
(stepover-toehold-katahajime).
SJPW Card
- Jonnie Adonis interviewed Koubousen Geijutsu Senshuken Toshiaki "The
Pyro" Takada who explained that he had not been surprised by the recent
merger of the Heavyweight division and the Battle Arts divisions. He
also stated that he felt Kenichi Kubota was not a true wrestler due to his
underhanded tactics and association with Team Corporate. He promised
that Matt Nakamoto would soon return to help him and he also asked that the
winner of his match with "Iron Man" Tetsuo Matsumoto be declared
the number one contender for the All-Asian title.
- "Iron Man" Tetsuo Matsumoto defeated Se-hong Kwan by pinfall
with the Dragon Driver '99.
- Hashimoto "Seikyo" Asui defeated Yorozu Izeki by pinfall with
the Seikyo Driver.
- Scorpio defeated "The Flying Dragon" Jushin Kojima by pinfall
with The Scorpion's Sting reverse moonsault legdrop.
- Jonnie Adonis interviewed The Banshee who stated that becoming the first
PJW Grand Prix Senshuken meant a great deal to him. He also stated
that he enjoyed defeating "Ghost" Chandrasekhar Yoshida and
respected the abilities of Kagemusha. He also stated his concern over
the recent actions and words of Shishi "Lion" Fujiwara and
proclaimed that Ed Dean was a ravaging animal, a brute with no honor or
respect.
- In an SJPW Welterweight Championship match, Tasogare no Prince retained
his title when he and "The Warbird" Yukio Murakami wrestled to a
time limit draw.
- After the match, SJPW CEO Shinsaku Yamashita and Team Corporate
(Kenji Ishida and Shinji Usami) came out and announced that at the
Wrestlefest supercard, the Twilight Prince and Murakami face each other one
more time in a title match with no time limit.
- In a Koubousen Geijutsu Tag Team Match, the team of The Mandarin and
Steel Serpent wrestled the team of "Seven Second Killer" Oleg
Vladikoff and "Vicious" Vladimr Vorshenko to a time limit draw.
- Eddie Rose interviewed "Jigoku" Tiger Extreme who stated his
respect for Kenichi Kubota and Toshiaki "The Pyro" Takada.
He also stated that he was in hevay training and that he wanted to be like
his brother MLWO Japan Champion, Jensei Tenru. Extreme then went
berserk and began screaming insults about Kubota and Takada and challenged
the winner of their match to an Exploding Casket Match for the Battle Arts
title.
- In an All-Asian Tag Team Championship match, The Bonecrushers retained
their titles against The Yakuza as the two teams wrestled to a time-limit
draw.
- SJPW CEO Shinsaku Yamashita came out once again and informed The Yakuza
that they could have another chance at the All-Asian tag team titles if they
gave up their slot in the Frank A Marano Jr. Memorial Tag Team
Tournament.
- In a Koubousen Geijutsu Championship match, Toshiaki "The Pyro"
Takada retained his title against Kenichi "Kurasha" Kubota when he
pinned Kubota following a top-rope Plum Crusher through a burning
table. During the match, The Maulers came down to the ring to interfere
on Kubota's behalf but they were countered by the intervention of
"Jigoku" Tiger Extreme.
- After the match, Kubota challenged Takada and Extreme to find a partner
and face him and The Maulers in a Koubousen Geijutsu Trios match.
- In an All-Asian Juuryou Shimeijiai match, Ed Dean retained his title
when he defeated Tiger Kikuchi by pinfall following two consecutive Tiger
Drivers. Kikuchi was badly injured as a result and after the match,
the members of Chiimu Tora faced off against Dean and The Maulers but did
not come to blows.
- To close out the card, Dean claim to have defeated all of the members of
Chiimu Tora but Mitsunori Takizawa reminded him that he had not defeated
Takizawa. Takizawa then challenged Dean to give him a title shot but
before Dean could accept, SJPW CEO Shinsaku Yamashita came out and stated
that this could only happen if Takizawa and five partners (none of whom
could be Chiimu Tora members) could defeat Dean, The Maulers, Kubota and
The Corporate Dragons in a twelve-man tag match, the stipulation being that
Takizawa must pin Dean to get the title shot.
