Infierno defeated The International Brotherhood by pinfall when Demonio pinned "Wildcat" Jim Lewis Jr. following an attack on Lewis by "High Flyer" Jinsei Shakanuzi with a steel chair.  Previously, The International Brotherhood won the first fall of the match when Simon McQuaid pinned El Mago following an International Attack bearhug/flying clothesline combination.  G-Pro Triple Crown Champion Jason Storm joined the International Brotherhood as a last-minute replacement for Shakanuzi. "Universal Heartthrob" Agito Nakajima and Simon "Thunderstryke" McQuaid defeated "Japeater" Jarred Jones and "Black Dog" Yoshito Katsumura by countout when Jones was attacked by Ozeki Shumasita and the two brawled their way out of the arena.  Nakajima and McQuaid advance past round one in the Combative Tag Team Championship Tournament. G-Pro Triple Crown Champion "Thunda' From Down Unda'" Jason Storm defeated Cuervo by disqualification in a non-title heavyweight match when "Sweet" Sho Satsuma and "Universal Heartthrob" Agito Nakajima of The Fabulous Ones interfered.  During the course of this interference, Satsuma attacked G-Pro commentator, Jinsei Yakamotu. "Demon Boy" Ishrinku and The Banshee defeated Kashan Akuma and Shoji Suzuki by pinfall when Ishrinku pinned Suzuki after spraying him in the eyes with mist.  Akuma assisted in defeating his own team by holding down Suzuki's legs during the pin.  Ishrinku and Banshee advance past round one in the Combative Tag Team Championship Tournament.
