RINGST*RS
Logo In addition to the WWWI titles recently given to them by the defunct JIWWA, RINGST*RS has now inherited the WSIW Pacific Championship.  Nina Miyagi, the last reigning champion at the time of WSIW's closure, has given the belt to RINGST*RS.

Rumors have been flying as to what this tiny promotion will do with all of these titles but PN Magazine has the scoop!  Apparently, RINGST*RS will combine the 3WI World, Japanese National and Pacific titles into a "Triple Crown" title.  The exact designation of the triple crown is not known yet but it should be active very soon.

RINGST*RS recently announced in a press release that they will indeed combine the titles into a "Triple Crown" of Japan.  This title will be decided when reigning JNW Champ Misae Suzuki fights whoever is designated as the interim Champion.  Not only will the match decide who the true JNW Champion is, the winner will also receive the 3WI World and WSIW Pacific titles, inaugurating the Triple crown.

In related RINGST*RS news, Erin Solie defeated rookie Keiko Sakura in the finals to win the interim Japanese National title.  Sakura, who was in only the second match of her career, controlled most of the match.  She was well rested due to her bye and took the fight to Solie from the beginning.  The turning point came when Keiko seemed to simply "punch herself out" and ran out of gas.  This allowed Solie to make a comeback and she got the victory with a brutal series of moves that ended with the rare and deadly Tiger Driver 91'.  Solie's first defense of the interim title will be against the winner of Sakura/Volley coming up soon.
