Gunryo Pro President Clint Fletcher recently announced that all eight of the
slots for the inaugural Mikoto Tournament had been filled. Scheduled to
take place on February 14th, the tournament is expected to generate renewed
interest in puroresuring overall and in G-Pro specifically. PN Magazine
is sponsoring the tournament, reportedly as a test case for what might be a
larger tournament scheduled to occur later this year. While President
Fletcher could not be reached for comments directly after the announcement,
he did identify that the tournament would be organized into two brackets, one
for gaijin and one for Japanese wrestlers. The eight
participants of the tournament named are:

As can be seen from the list above, participants have been recruited with
puroresuring experience in organizations such as SJPW and Neo Japan
Pro. However, some reports indicate that Shinji Hamada may not actually
participate in the tournament itself and that Mitsunori Takizawa may be
scheduled to take his place. The opponent signed for the
Hamada/Takizawa bracket is known but his identity will not be announced at
