(02/07/99) The SHVF Beat SHVF Becomes WFC! (02/03/99) SHVF has been taken over and absorbed into the World Fighting Council effective immediately.  The WFC is owned by Steven Sczar, a former pro wrestler whose career was cut short by a neck injury in Michigan's Motor City Wrestling.  No word is available as to the future of former SHVF owner Hadi Moditian. The RINGST*RS Beat RINGST*RS Closes (01/30/99) While predicted by some, the official announcement of the closure of RINGST*RS was greeted with shock and dismay in puroresuring circles.  Despite producing some of the finest women's wrestling in Japan, RINGST*RS had faced administrative and financial problems recently which led to its unfortunate demise.	(02/07/99) The Neo Japan Beat Denkoo Puroresu Debuts (02/07/99) After airing exhibition matches on on SJPW's Zenmen Sensou, Neo Japan Pro finally held its own card with the debut of "Denkoo Puroresu" this weekend.  Featuring the NJPW debuts of Jin Hasegawa, Axon Blade, RAPTOR and Marc Thomas, Neo Japan Pro made a promising showing with its first card. The JIWWA Beat Title Situations Solidify (02/07/99) While the 3WI Tag Team Title Tournament continues, JIWWA is moving forward with plans to decide its singles champions which will likely involve a round-robin tournament.  The recent closure of RINGST*RS also means certain titles will be returning to JIWWA. Firebomber Joins JIWWA! (02/07/99) Rekka Sakura and Jun Shiratori, wrestling together as Firebomber, have signed a contract with JIWWA and will be wrestling Diamond Kenyuki and Hurricane ARASHI on February 14th.  Click here for more details.
